Terms and Conditions |
Making A Reservation:
On the payment of a $400 deposit or 30% of the total cost of the booking, which ever is the greater, the villa and/or vehicle of your choice shall be reserved for you on the dates booked. The balance is payable 2 weeks before the check in date. Any difficulty keeping to this timescale, please discuss with us and we shall endeavour to find an alternative arrangement which is mutually acceptable to both parties.

Payment can be made by bank to bank transfer or by debit/credit card through PayPal or by Moneygram
(If paying by debit or credit card a 4% fee will be charged to cover Paypal charges).
The customer is responsible for all charges connected with the payment
Your holiday contract:
When you make a booking you guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept on behalf of your party the terms of these booking conditions. You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking with us. Your contract with Akotaa Villas Ghana Ltd is made once a confirmation email has been issued to you. Your contract with us will be governed by English Law and is subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts at all times.
If you change your booking :
If, after our confirmation email has been issued, you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way, for example your chosen departure date or accommodation, we will do our utmost to make these changes but it may not always be possible. Any request for changes to be made must be by email from the person who made the booking. There is a $20 admin charge for this.
If you have a complaint:
If you have cause for complaint whilst on holiday, this must be brought to the attention of an Akotaa Villas Ghana manager or ourselves in the UK by email or phone (we do not accept messages left on answer phone) immediately so that action can be taken at the time to rectify the problem. If you do not tell us about your complaint promptly, it may prove difficult to investigate or rectify your complaint.
Friends staying:
The villa has a king-size bed in each of the bedrooms, so a maximum of two people can be staying in each bedroom at any one time. Please inform the manager in advance if you are having guest staying so that she is able to cater for them as necessary.
Cooking Services:
A fully qualified chef/housekeeper shall be assigned to your villa at a daily rate of $8 or local currency equivalent (payable to the chef/housekeeper at the end of each working day) to expertly prepare all meals to your requirement. Please note that the chef/housekeeper works from 8am to 5pm each day with an hours lunch break.
The payment for the chef/housekeeper's services can also be made advance in the UK together with the rental of the villa. Customers paying in advance will enjoy a 5% discount.
Laundry and ironing service:
The villas have washing machines, but washing powder is not included. To conserve water, though, whenever possible wash on full load. There is an iron and ironing board for your personal use. However, if you want the ironing to be expertly done for you then we levy a small charge of 15,000 cedis ($1.50) for every five items. Single items cost 5,000 cedis (70 cent) cents an item.
Payments:
Charges for all our services must be settled on the day that the service is rendered or the following day without fail. Failure to settle amount due by the following day would result in suspension of further services until the outstanding amount is paid. This is necessary in order to replenish stock and to avoid any confusion about what is owed to the organization etc.
Energy conservation:
Unless you are leaving the room briefly the air condition unit should be switched off. Also the hot water boiler should be switched off after bathing. We ask that you observe these rules so that we are able to continue to provide the Villa at such low prices. Thank you
Smoking:
For your health and safety, this is only permitted in the front or back porch or in the grounds surrounding the property.
Breakages & Damage:
The customer would be required to pay for any breakages or damage that they cause.
Pets:
No pets are allowed in any of our villas.
Swimming Pool:
Children should be accompanied in the pool by their parents or guardian at all times.
Children should wear arm bands at all times and these are available on request from member ofstaff.
Please do not use the pool if you are under the influence of alcohol.
The pool is not suitable for non swimmers the deep end is 6.2 ft in depth.
The pool is not suitable for diving.
Please be aware that you use the pool at your own risk and Akotaa Villas Ghana does not accept liability for any accidents whatsoever.
Parking:
Whilst we provide 24 hour security, please note that vehicles parked on the premises are at the owners own risk and Akotaa Villas Ghana accepts no responsibility for any damage or theft from or of the vehicle.
Functions & Parties:
Please inform the manager on site if you intend to hold a party or a function.
Check-in/out times:
All guests are required to check-in no earlier than 2pm on the first day of stay, and check-out no later than 12 noon on the last day of stay.
