We have tried to furnish each house to the same high standard that you would expect to find if you were renting a Villa in Florida. We sincerely hope that you do not want for anything, however, if there is anything extra that you require please inform the manager and she will do her best to provide.
Making A Reservation: On the payment of a $400 deposit or 30% of the total cost of the booking, which ever is the greater, the villa and/or vehicle of your choice shall be reserved for you on the dates booked. The balance is payable 4 weeks before the check in date. Any difficulty keeping to this timescale, please discuss with us and we shall endeavour to find an alternative arrangement which is mutually acceptable to both parties.
Payment can be made by bank to bank transfer or by debit/credit card through PayPal or by Moneygram (If paying by debit or credit card a 4% fee will be charged to cover Paypal charges). The customer is responsible for all charges connected with the payment Your holiday contract: When you make a booking you guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept on behalf of your party the terms of these booking conditions. You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking with us. Your contract with Akotaa Villas Ghana Ltd is made once a confirmation email has been issued to you. Your contract with us will be governed by English Law and is subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts at all times. If you change your booking : If, after our confirmation email has been issued, you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way, for example your chosen departure date or accommodation, we will do our utmost to make these changes but it may not always be possible. Any request for changes to be made must be by email from the person who made the booking. There is a $20 admin charge for this. If you have a complaint: If you have cause for complaint whilst on holiday, this must be brought to the attention of an Akotaa Villas Ghana manager or ourselves in the UK by email or phone (we do not accept messages left on answer phone) immediately so that action can be taken at the time to rectify the problem. If you do not tell us about your complaint promptly, it may prove difficult to investigate or rectify your complaint. Friends staying: The villa has a king-size bed in each of the bedrooms, so a maximum of two people can be staying in each bedroom at any one time. Please inform the manager in advance if you are having guest staying so that she is able to cater for them as necessary. Cooking Services: A fully qualified chef/housekeeper shall be assigned to your villa at a daily rate of $10 or local currency equivalent (payable to the chef/housekeeper at the end of each working day) to expertly prepare all meals to your requirement. Please note that the chef/housekeeper works from 8am to 5pm each day with an hours lunch break. Travel Insurance: Travellers are required to have their own comprehensive travel insurance to cover medical emergencies, losses and flights etc. Energy conservation: Electricity - the villas are fitted with prepaid metres which will be preloaded with equivalent of 5 ghana cedis per day times the number of days booked - (3 cedis for villa 4). From experience this amount is ample to cater for your needs based on average usauge of applainces such as air conditions, however should you use it all up before the end of you stay then you will be responsible for buying extra credit for the metre as necessary and the staff will be able to assist. Air condition units - to save on energy cost and minimise waste, we recommend that you switch off units from the wall socket when leaving the room.To comply with fire regulation the air conditions and water heaters must be turned off when you leave the villa unattended for whatever length of time. The staff will be monitoring this. Water heaters - please note that this only takes 15 minutes to produce enough hot water for at least two people to bath therefore remembering to switch it off from the wall socket would again save on energy cost. Internet Broadband: Internet service - For a just $5 per day please note that we can provide you with an internet broadband via a pen drive which you slot into your laptop. The system is preloaded with 8 hours of surfing time and you are responsible for buying more credit as required. Please note that owing to the expensive nature of the pen drive you have to leave a deposit of $100 which will be refunded on return of the pen drive in an undamaged and working order. Security deposit for Breakages & Damage: You must pay a security of $100 when you confirm your booking. The cost of any damage to the property or to any items in and / or at the property caused or any service charges incurred by you or any member of your party (for example telephone calls) will be deducted by us from the security deposit at the end of your stay. If no deductions are required, your security deposit will be refunded in full to you 14 days after your departure from the property. If the security deposit is not sufficient to cover any damage caused or services charges incurred by you, you will be responsible for paying us any additional monies required immediately on request from us. Pets and smoking policy: In the interest of hygiene, no pets are allowed in any of our villas.No smoking inside the villa but permitted in the porch and grounds of the complex. Swimming Pool: Children should be accompanied in the pool by their parents or guardian at all times. Children should wear arm bands at all times and these are available on request from member of staff. It is your responsibility to ensure children are supervised by an adult at all times whilst in the pool. Please do not use the pool if you are under the influence of alcohol. The pool is not suitable for non swimmers the deep end is 6.2 ft in depth. The pool is suitable for diving from the deep end only. Please be aware that you use the pool at your own risk and Akotaa Villas Ghana does not accept liability for any accidents whatsoever. Parking: Whilst we provide 24 hour security, please note that vehicles parked on the premises are at the owners own risk and Akotaa Villas Ghana accepts no responsibility for any damage or theft from or of the vehicle. Functions & Parties: Please inform the manager on site if you intend to hold a party or a function. Check-in/out times: All guests are required to check-in no earlier than 2pm on the first day of stay, and check-out no later than 12 noon on the last day of stay. |
