Introduction
Akotaa Villas Ghana is a family run business that has been operating successfully and to rave reviews since 2001. In starting this business our aim was not simply to provide somewhere reasonably priced for people to stay, but also to provide villas that well equipped, comfortable, safe and fun to live in for both kids and adults alike (Our range of villas includes 1 bedroom villa with shared swimming pool (villa 4), 2 bed villa (villa 8), 3 bed villas with shared swimming pool (villa 2, 3, 6), 3 bed villa (villa 5 and 7) and 4 bed villa with shared swimming pool (villa 1).
In order to enhance the experience of staying in one of our villas we have given careful consideration to what children would need to keep them entertained and we have bikes, playstation game consoles, pool tables, TV with several children’s programs and DVD’S and video’s (optional multi-channel satellite TV available at $3 a day), and of course, when you book villa 1,2,3 and 6 you have the use of the swimming pool.
For adults, we have again multi-channel satellite tv (optional at $4 a day) with several live English and Spanish Premiership football matches plus several movie channels, Internet connection in villas 1,2,3,4 & 6 (bring your laptop with you and surf away!), fitness equipment, land line telephone (using phone card), swimming pool. Villas 2 and 3 have the added advantage of having several restaurants (The Lome – bar), Ranna Plaza (live bands two restaurants, a gymnasium, a bar with pool tables and night club called Emperor) within 5 minutes walk away. For shopping House Mart and mobile mart are also only between 10 to 15 minutes walk away. A short drive away along the Spintex road are other well equipped entertainment centres such as The Pool bar (bar and disco), Fridays (open air bar and disco), Effeh spot (live music and restaurant) and Coastal Spot (restaurant and bar) Chinese, Continental and a host of local restaurants.
For adults with children, our experienced members of staff can act as baby sitters for a small fee of £3 a time.
In short we have endeavored to achieve the highest standards at reasonable prices.
For extra comfort and security, all our villas come with the services of 24-hour security personnel, and a cleaner comes round at least every other day. A fully qualified chef/housekeeper is available for an extra $15 per day.
To cater for families travelling with babies and children, the following items are available free of charge on request and subject to availability:-
High chair
Sleeping cot with mattress
Car seat - suitable for 9 months to 3 year olds (approximately)
Changing mat
Baby's push chair
Several boy and girls bicycles
Safety arm bands for use in pool
Children's videos and DVDs
In order to make your travel around Ghana as stress free as possible, we can also provide rental vehicles at a subsidized rate that is between 40 to 50% below the average prices charged by specialist car rental companies in Accra. All our drivers have had extra training to enable them to drive to western standards and they all have extensive knowledge of places of interest both in Accra and the rest of Ghana. They all have good command of English.
In the several years that we have been operating we have built up a good reputation for quality of service both in terms of the accommodation provided and customer service and an increasing number of our customers are either repeat customers or come via recommendation. We are aiming to build on this further, and will do everything in our power to meet your highest standards expectations. These comprise of (Villa 1 – 4 bed 3 bath), Akotaa Villa Duplex (Villas 2 & 3 – 3 bed 3 bath), Villa 4 (one bed 1 bath), (Villa 5 – Devtraco Gated community 3 bed 2 bath), (Villa 6 – 3 bed 2 bath), (Villa 7 - 3 bed 2 bath- Devtraco gated community), (villa 8 – 2 bed 2 bath - Regimanuel Paraku estate) and (Villa 9 – 3 bed 2 bath). All the properties are situated in and around the prestigious Spintex Road area of Accra.
